Integra and JIPMER Host Mini-Marathon to Promote Mental Health Awareness for World Mental Health Day

Pondicherry, India — October 27, 2024: As part of its 30th-anniversary celebrations, Integra partnered with the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) to host a mini-marathon on October 27, 2024, in honor of World Mental Health Day. The event highlighted Integra’s long-standing commitment to employee well-being and social responsibility, underscoring the importance of mental health awareness and support both within the workplace and the larger community.  

Mental health is increasingly recognized as a cornerstone of employee well-being and organizational success. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 15% of adults worldwide experience mental health disorders in their lifetimes, and workplace stress is a leading contributor to mental health issues. 

Integra undertakes various physical and mental health initiatives throughout the year as part of its commitment to employee well-being, while also extending its impact through community partnerships. The mini-marathon with JIPMER exemplifies this dual commitment, fostering positive health habits and creating a platform to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations around mental wellness both internally and in the broader community. 

The event attracted nearly 300 participants, including Integra team members, JIPMER staff, and local residents, who completed the route from the JIPMER playground to Rock Beach near the Gandhi statue. As Integra celebrates its 30th Anniversary, this initiative reflects its ongoing dedication to impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) and fostering an inclusive, supportive work culture focused on the holistic wellness of its people and the society at large.
